I have been diagnosed with pelvic floor pain/vulva pain. It has put a REAL damper on my sex life with my husband. I have been doctoring with a doctor from SD. He seems very nice and is trying to help me. He says I have Pudental Neuralgia. And I have a Overactive Bladder issue going on too. I have tried therapy and feel like I am not going anywhere with that. My dr states that I need to try 2 meds for overactive bladder first then if that doesnt work then he will show for a device that in inserted through the butt cheeks. But first it needs to go through insurance. Anyone can tell me how the device is working for them, I would greatly appreciate the info.

Pelvic Floor Pain
I’ve had chronic groin pain for 2&half years since a very heavy and violent vomiting session following drinking contaminated water in Russia. This groin burning pain kicks in whenever I sit down or lie on my back. I’ve had all sorts of X rays, MRIs, CT scans and seen numerous doctors but none the wiser. Ive undergone SI joint injections, lumbar epidural injections but no relief. Spine specialists say there’s nothing wrong with my spine I’ve recently consulted with two top pain management specialists and they think it’s pudendal neuralgia There are nerve blocks to treat this but first I’m trying genitomeral and ilioinguinal nerve blocks and if they provide no relief then having a pudendas nerve block. These chronic pain management specialists that do nerve blocks are generally anesthesiologist aa it’s highly specialised. I live in LA and I’m male in my early 60s Blue Shield of CA PPO insurance covers these procedures
I have an implanted Dorsal Root Stimulator. I had more rectal pain and spasms than female genital pain. It was a long process to get final implant on January 26 of this year. So far I've gotten 50 per cent relief. You can read my previous posts. Rocky68
Can you pls private message me to tell me where you had this done? I have a follow up appointment with a pain management doctor who does another type of stimulator, but I don't know if this doctor is even that knowledgeable about pudendal neuralgia. He kind of upset me for various reasons with my initial visit, but I am going to give him another chance. I am happy to hear that you have 50% less pain--I would be happy with any reduction in pain after being in flare for the past few weeks!!
