I have just been diagnosed with my 2nd enlarged fibroid, for the 1st one I had uterine artery embolisation which worked well, both have caused heavy bleeding pain and severe anemia,, the new one has took 4 years to come and grow, going forward I am tempted to go for the hysterectomy but I am not sure even that will stop anything from coming back, I am 43 no more children and no sign of the menopause yet any advice?

I’m not sure I have any helpful advice but in a similar situation in that I’m about to have an embolisation for an enlarged fibroid. Do you know if it’s possible for them to resect this one via a hysteroscopy instead? Much less invasive than a hysterectomy and under local anaesthetic. Sending sympathy and support because I know what the heavy bleeding and anaemia is like. Hoping the UAE works for me too!
I am waiting for a gynaecology appointment I should know more then about a resect, I hope your UAE goes well, I didn't recover as fast or well as what I expected my fibroid didn't pass but it shrunk it took a good year for my periods to get better but I stopped losing massive clots and the fibroid shrunk over time.
