Pelvic and transvaginal scan -results borderline

Hi all, this is my first post here and hoping to share my concerns regarding a pelvic and transvaginal scan. My results came back borderline and i have an appointment for the doctors to call me to discuss my results on Tuesday. Please does anyone know what could be meant by borderline?

My symptons are frequent urgent urinating, leaks. Pain in lower back and legs, sciatica, IBS, heavy periods clots. Very painful PMS, always tired. My PMS are from 7- 10 days long and have been for years exstreme bloating.. The only reason Dr sent me for scans are because of my bladder changes and recent kidney infection. I have a diagnosis of fibromyalgia 10 years +, suffer with spontanious Chronic uticaria. I had an ultrasound scan on my kidneys and gallbladder results came back ok. However they did think i had problems with my gallbladder due to the pain in my right side but all ok thankfully. I just wonder if anyone here may have been told their results were borderline.

I am anxious, however i understand that if it was urgent i would have recieved a call from the doctor a lot sooner. Any advice will be greatly appreciated thank you.

Who used the words "boarder line" to you? Was it a receptionist, MRI tech, doctor, etc?

It means your boarder line for whatever they tested you for. Example is I've personally been told that I'm "boarder line" diabetic because my blood work showed my levels were at the cut off for what they consideration dangerous.

You shouldn't be told your boarder line for anything. It's bad terminology.

Hi Pumpkins226 i was told this by the receptionist at my doctors when she booked me in for a telephone appoitment with the Doctor this Tuesday. I asked her what she meant by borderline and what for, she said i will have to wait to speak with the doctor because thats all it stated. She reassured me its nothing serious or the doctor would have spoken to me sooner. Still that has'nt instilled any reassurance in me. I had my scans last Thursday was told the following Wednesday and appointment booked this Tuesday. I saw two seperate doctors for my kidney infection had 2 courses of antibiotics the first doctor wanted the U/S on my abdoman and renal area which came back ok. The second doctor said i could have polyps/fibroids pressing on my bladder because of the bladder changes ive been experiencing. So she wanted me to have the pelvic and transvaginal scan. Thank you for your reply i was just curious to see if anyone had anything mentioned to them about borderline results before .

I tend to agree with Pumpkins,I have that word myself,in different situations, and I think it's wrong to just be told borderline without an explanation. But I also think if it was serious they would have called you in. They must realise that is going to worry you. And for that reason alone,I don't see why the doctor couldn't just fit you in for a phone call earlier. Good luck to you I think you need a bit of good news.🍀

Hi Gemini71, thank you for your reply.

Yes I am quite annoyed with the doctors actually. I am going to be calling them in the morning to see if i can get in on the day. I was just a bit flanked as to what borderline is. Would you mind sharing some situations where borderline is used for you. If not i completely understand. I have been poorly for quite some time now and i feel this could be the result i myself was thinking i could have endometriosis but to my knowledge that isnt picked up on Ultrasound scan. Im going by my symptoms also when i change my diet to gluten free i feel a big difference in my health but sometimes i slip on the diet. My stomach as been swollen has felt different since having issuse with my bladder feels heavy and i get full quick along with havinh pain when i need to urinate, constant pain in my lower back and deep right hip pain i have had this for years amongst other things. Kind regards and thank you for the good luck wishes

Hi if you feel you may have Endometriosis,I know nothing about that. But I do know that Alain1 suffers with that, she is a administrator on here. I'm sure she would be glad to help you.

But don't jump the gun, wait and see. I'm not 💯but I think they find that with a Colonoscopy, not to sure. But wait until you have chatted with your doctor on Tuesday.🤞

Thank you Gemini71, yeah i have read something along those lines too. I am just going to wait until Tuesday. Im seeing an old friend tomorrow which will take the focus off for a bit. I could keep speculating all sorts and it may be nothing to what my mind is drawing up. I apprieciate you taking your time to respond to my questions. Its nice to know that this forum is here to turn to.

Please posts results after you have seen the doctor. I am sure the results will be negative for tests since the office hasn't called. Try to use mindfulness exercises to somewhat help with your anxiety and pain. I am in contant pain, so I am going to work on Mindfulness starting today.

Hi thank you all for replying to my previous messages.

I had a call from my doctors who is referring me to the gynecologists my scan results are a large fibroid on the outside of my womb and a large polyp on the inside of my uterus. I will have to wait and see what the gynecologists say and recommend to decide on the next action. Kind regards all, Rachael x
