Hello everyone,

I'm hoping that someone one here might be able to help, or point me in the right direction of an Adhesion / Adhesiolysis Specialist Surgeon. If you can, thank you!! If you're also searching for the same type of specialist, I hope this post helps!

I'm based in the UK but able and willing to travel... so please please do share any information you have that could be useful.

There's a lot of stories of pain and suffering here, but I hope that someone, somewhere has been successful, and that advancements in medical intervention / prevention are happening!

Personally, I've suffered from intestinal adhesions coming up to 3 years now, and having had several emergency ops for bowel obstruction, I've since refused surgery even in the most extreme cases for fear of making the problem even worse.

I'm now searching for a surgeon / specialist who might be able to help!

Thank you for reading and any help / support in advance!

hi firstly i would like to suggest to go and see DR elneil in UCLH or harley street clinic if you have private medical. She is part pf a pelvic care centre and has performed several operations on me including laparoscopic adhesiolysis (6 hours long surgery) also a hysterectomy vaginal wall repair and so not to bore you with my long story i have had adhesions with a bladder that adhered to my abdominal wall plus a recteocelle and cystocele. once you see this dr i am sure you will see your life changing over night, i saw 30 consultants prior to her and she diagnosed me within 5 mins of seeing her...plus send me for one test to confirm things and next day i was being operated on. i came from bed bound with severe pelvic pain to no using crutches and mobility scooter. i was very bad and the operations are so severe that its taken me 1 year to have the 3 major ones to repair my pelvic dysfunction. Elneil, Obichere (both UCLH or haley street clinic) and also Dr Ordman for pain management.

good luck

Hi Jagcandy, thank you so much for your message! I'm sorry to hear about all the pain you've been through. I don't have private medical care, but I will still get in touch with Dr Elneil and see what options are available. Again, thank you so much for reaching out!
