Fibroid symptoms

Hi, I'm new here, since yesterday. My question is about symptoms. has anybody out there had fibroids without having any bleeding/pain? I look about 8 months pregnant and I am actually wearing maternity trousers! About 8 years ago I started bleeding. I was concerned as I was almost post menopausal and still taking HRT. I was sent for a vaginal ultrasound and was diagnosed with a "massive fibroid". I was advised to stop the HRT which I did and the fibroid disappeared over a few months. This time I have had no bleeding or pelvic pain, just mild discomfort and a feeling of something kind of moving around in my abdomen. Any response would be much appreciated.

Hi, I have a fibroid which is currently sat at 15cm's big and I only noticed it because i realised a lump growing in my stomach and I now look pregnant. I haven't had any pain or bleeding as such, apart from my regular period, which has been severely painful, and the odd back pain. Discomfort sometimes, but apart from that I haven't had any pain linking it - I have my pre-op on the 30th November so I am hoping that I get good news and I can have mine cut out

Hi Jaz, Thanks for responding. I'm going crazy now because I'm frightening myself by looking at other reasons for a distended stomach/abdomen. Cancer for me comes ever nearer closer to my symptoms/lack of symptoms'. I am still waiting for am appointment for an ultra sound, patience is not one of my virtues! Good luck with the pre-op. It means that you should have the op very soon after. I hope all goes well,
