Just been told I have fibroid, mine is 5cm wide and grown over the last year(previous scan doesn't show it a year ago) got to wait till Dec to see if it's still growing and by how much, iv had lots of symptoms and I'm 36yrs, should I be as worried as I feel? Or am I panicking over nothing x

Hi Boo - I wouldn't worry too much (unless your symptoms are getting worse). Fibroids are commonplace. I had a huge one which was removed surgically. There are many treatment options. Mine wasn't causing heaving bleeding - just taking up too much room. December will be here soon (7 weeks). Just chill in the meantime (or see your doctor if your symptoms are worsening).
