Thank you for signposting. Yes it was spotted on ultrasound this week , although strangley I've had three CT scans in 18 months and it's not been mentioned then . I'm under a gynacologist and on surgery waiting list . Been told 12 month wait , been having issues with pelvic pain since March 2024
Sorry for late reply, it froze up yesterday and wouldn't let me reply. No, nothing has been mentioned in the meantime. I found out about the endometrial cyst an hour before hospital discharge and then came home to read about endometriosis online. Started with bleeding even though its not my period time and nausea. Also getting constipated very easily which is worrying me as this leads to the severe pelvic pain.
I have severe Adhesions which is called a frozen pelvis. The Adhesions have also grown on my bowels also which causes me to be constipation plus most of the pain relief I take daily also cause constipation. I have been prescribed senna everyday and a high fibre diet. Hope you get so answers soon
It is well worth requesting your medical records to keep so that you know what's happening and so that you can discuss in an informed way with health professionals. Endometriomas can exist with deep disease in other areas such as the rectovaginal septum between the rectum and the vagina. This may not show up on ultrasound.
Thank you. I'm going to request GP if I can access medical records through NHS app. Should I ask for print out or emails of everything they have on their system about test results , scans etc
I always prefer to have printed copies/or saved on computer in a folder so that i can take the info with me or send it to whoever I need to. When I looked in the NHS App there wasn't anything useful there unless things have changed since last year !
Thank you for your reply. The pain feels like my whole pelvic area is going to burst open because of something twisting or obstructing. I cant afford private at the moment . Unless I save up for few years.ive never had a laproscopy. Have had 3 CT scans over 18 months and recently last week pelvic ultrasound and vaginal ultrasound.
I think I might have IBS or the cyst or adhesions is causing a kink in my digestive tract , I've started to avoid foods which lead to constipation, at the moment I don't feel like eating much anyway
I think you may be right. I find that eating dates, almonds, Greek yogurt and drinking coconut water keeps me hydrated and gives me the fibre I need to ease BM’s.
You may already know, but magnesium citrate helps us to have a BM.
I recently been diagnosed from V ultrsound ,that fluid is seen where my ovaries were ( total hysterectomy) 2011. Dr thst ordered ultrsound said. She doesnt know if it a cyst or not but referred me out.Leaking fluid on medium pad for 6 mos now & have cramping & slight odor .Idk what that could be i am leaking from cyst if thats what i have. Specialist appt coming up Nov.2024 .Dtay in touch with your findings as well 🤗and Good wishes
Hi I had a cyst like this several years ago which I had to have surgically removed. Since then I have severe abdominal and pelvic pain. I was told this was from Adhesions that formed after the surgery. Apparently it is very common with pelvic surgery and Dr's don't mention this when you consent for the operation. These Adhesions have caused me no end of problems as well as chronic pain. Please be aware of this huni.
Thank you for your message, sorry to hear you are in pain, can I ask - did the remove anything else with the cyst, any organs or just the cyst? Have you found anything has helped to ease pain from adhesions? Xx
