I have PID and had swabs taken for chlamydia and gonorrhea which came back negative. I had to go into hospital to have intravenous antibiotics for 4 days, I was sent home to finish a 14 day course of antibiotics (metronidazole and doxycycline). I was in a lot of pain so I also have tramadol and diclofenac. I only have 2 days left of antibiotics and I am still sore. Mainly I'm most painful in the morning. My doctor and gyno both say they expect me to be sore and that it wouldn't stop being sore quickly. I was told that when an infection has been so bad it will take time to stop being painful etc cxx

Maybe you don't have PID. I would suggest a second opinion.

I had PID in March and although my pain was relieved it never really passed and later on I asked a second opinion and I was diagnosed of adenomyiosis which explain why I still have pain in both sides and especially after my period I really have tough days. Ask a second opinion and check the possibility of adenomyosis. Sometimes the doctors don't check as it is more common in women that had already babies or later in the age.
