I had the same thing happen. It also gave me increased sciatica pain. It did go away though once the Botox wore off. So I wouldn't get it done again.

Maybe they didn't get the right muscle though. They injected my obturator internus. But I think the pain was coming from the piriformis.

I have never had Botox injections but had some success with pudental bilateral shots to alleviate anal pressure. Go to a good physiotherapist who is familiar with problem for trigger point release massages. You may want to ask Dr for muscle relaxers to see if that helps.

Also take Metamucil for relief. I have found stretching and walking (even when I don't feel I can) helps.

Try to find right medications to relieve symptoms. I have found relief with Lyrica but no "cure all" for this condition. Rocky68

Yes a pelvic floor wand can be helpful.

Make sure you are taking something like miralax to help soften your stools. Muscle relaxers will constipate you. Maybe try sitz baths to soothe down there? I had Botox a few years back for anal fissures. I have chronic fissures and have suffered with Pruritus ani (itchy asshole) for 7 years and have literally tried EVERYTHING. I’ve seen numerous doctors and now have IBS-D that I believe is linked somehow to the anal issues. I never have an issue being constipated so not sure why I have the fissures. The Botox lasts about 2-3 mo so I hope you have relief soon. I remember being pretty sore for a week or so and then not really being able to hold my gas 😳

What was the Botox meant to do. I have your symptoms without any treatment done, just meds
