Does anyone have anal discomfort when you first sit down? Then afterwards it's ok
It's like the sensation of the seat, cushion, pushes against the anus and causes a soreness which immediately passes after you get comfortable in your seat
I have no piles or fissures
Anyone else? Is this pelvic floor related?

I have a ton of pain when sitting. I have to get up and walk around every 30-45 min. It is pelvic floor related. I have found pelvic physical therapy and nerve blocks to help a little. Nothing has fixed it. I am always in pain.
I too have the same problem,in pain all the time, having to get up every so often, and constantly adjusting my self while sitting, never comfortable, feel best when standing, but have had several operations on my knee,so with knee pain also,.been about 4 years now, lost my job,Still not better, got bowel physio therapist appointment next month hoping that might help as nothing has helped yet. Took 2 years for NHS to even to acknowledge I had a problem.after insisting on a scan, which showed I I have both large and small bowel collapsed,my bowel has folded back on its self, grade 2 rectocoel. Not sure what this means, has no one will explain.
I have a diagnosis of levator ani syndrome for some years now. Painful when sitting and muscles lock in painful spasms which affects my toileting. I take anti spasmodic meds, see a womens specialist physio who does internal/external trigger point therapy and I get 3mthly botox injections into levator and pelvic floor muscles.
Treatments help alleviate the intensity of pain allowing me to enjoy life much more. Hope this info helps.
Yes very much so. I have a slow transit colon, constipated colitis and very limited ability to pass stool normally due to a rectocele. I have to do daily trans anal irrigation and manual extraction. Doesn't sound very nice but it's just part of my morning routine. I am supported by my colorectal consultant and specialist nurse so all good.
