Hello Kelledee,

Sorry you are having to go through this. I have had 5 abdominal surgeries and each time they have told me that there is a danger of them damaging other organs - but this has never happened. It's kind of a worse case scenario a bit like the really weird side effects that only one person has ever suffered from that they list on your medication.

I have endometriosis so am on the endo forum on healthUnlocked. There are a lot of women on there that have had the operation you are about to have who would be better placed for you to talk to or I think there is actually a Hysterectomy forum on healthunlocked too. It's a big thing to be going through so maybe having others to talk to who are or have been through it will help.

Victoria Xx

I had a slaphingo oopheroctomy last year and am now healthier than I have ever been. The recovery will take a while but I used the experience to turn my life around and have now taken up running and eating healthier. There is always a risk with surgery but do your research and decide what is best for you.I felt very isolated when making the decision but made the right decision for me.People have this surgery all the time and recover well but they have to warn you of the worst possible outcome to cover themselves.
