Pelvic pain
I use heat pads when my pelvic pain gets really bad and I don't know if it helps or just distracts me. Is your pelvic pain part of other body problems? Mine now seems to be part of an ongoing gradually worsening systemic neuropathy which is starting to take away my hands and feet and the muscular pain I now have is all encompassing. I am going for pudendal nerve shots this week but have serious doubts as to the worth of all this. At this time prednisone is the one thing that helps and the doctors don't want me to take it regularly. The other thing is valium which helps the muscle spasms and I take when the cramping is really horrible rarely. This is another drug I have to beg for. Doctors are all great trying to get me to take Lyrica, Celebrex, other anti-depressants which just make me sick, more depressed and do nothing for pain. Oxycontin works but I don't like it and it only takes the edge of the pain. If I take enough to kill the pain I just go to sleep and have nightmares. My doctor prescribed Diclofenac which is supposed to be more powerful that the Naproxen I gobble down but that drug makes me feel totally ill and I see no benefit from it. I am going crazy because I have no definitive diagnosis but am slowly losing my ability to walk and can't sleep with out pills My brother and maternal aunt (both dead he at 59) went through this stuff and were never diagnosed with anything and tranquilized into stupor with anti-depressants until they just sat or slept for whole days becoming more and more confused and crazy with pain. Two of my daughters are now starting the same symptoms. Any answer? Anyone tried the pudendal shots?
