Coping with pelvic pain flare ups.….

Its just a year now and I've come to accept my condition. It requires care and maintenance both physically and mentally. Thank god I found a regimen that got my pelvic pain under control enough for me to resume work and caring for my boys. What sucks is that knowledge that a flare up can come at any time for reasons unknown. Its kind of an impending doom feeling that lives in me now. On the bright side at least I know now that whether it lasts a day or a month it will pass. Staying positive during a pain flare is challenging but I saw how bad it can get and how much longer it lasts I let myself fall into the black hole of pain and depression. I remind myself that thousands of cells die each day and thousands of new ones replace them. So I imagine the bad cells dying and new healthy ones replacing them. Let myself cry a little and then quickly focus outward. Body and mind are one unit and they communicate. I ask them to shut up sometimes and remind myself of my blessings. Keep it moving.
