Fluid in the abdominal cavity often causes inflammation and adhesions. Adhesions are a cause of infertility. The fluid itself can also prevent conception.

Clomid is known to cause cysts in some people. ( I have personal experience of this and it had a major impact on my health and sub-fertility )

It sounds as though the gynaecologist thinks this will settle in your case. It's good that it is being monitored. Have you tried to conceive ?
