Hello,

I ve been diagnosed with PBC about 3 yers ago and did quite well. With urso, diet and life style adjustments. My blood is in total check.

Today I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer and was wondering if anyone in the group have PBC and cancer and how coop with it.

Any comment is much appreciated.

Thank you

First of all, I'm so glad your PBC is doing well. How scary it must be to get a diagnosis like this now. All I can say is just take one day at a time. I hope your oncologist is someone who is kind and understanding. Write down all of your questions. When you have your visits, it might be helpful to take some with you - another pair of ears can't hurt. Please let us know how the visits go. I would think once you get a 'plan' you can have some sense of what to expect.

Hello Donna,

Thank you very much for your reply and the words of support. I have not posted anything for sometime, but I am following closely. Your replies are always very encouraging and informative.

It is only today I found out about the diagnosis. The biopsy is not complete, it was only confirmed that I have cancer.

Would be very helpful to know how other PBC warriors are dealing with cancer. Any special approach due to liver involvement?

Thank you again for your kind words.

Hi Cat1966 I am sorry to read that you have had this diagnosis. I have not had the cancer but I have had a total hysterectomy (aged 53) for other problems which required this action. Not sure which country you are in but here in the UK there is Macmillan Support. Here is a link to their page in case it is of any help in gathering more information. macmillan.org.uk/cancer-inf...

I hope someone will come along soon who can share their own experience of this in the meantime I hope your treatment plan move swiftly and wish you well.

best wishes

Hello butterfly Ei,

Thank you very much for providing the link. I looked it up and did find some useful information indeed. I am in Canada, and I am not 100 % sure on the protocol itself as a biopsy is not finalized yet. I know for sure that I ll be facing the surgery and the rest will depend on what is found.

I'm sorry to hear of your endometrial cancer diagnosis, Cat1966. That must be scary. I'm happy to hear that you're doing well with PBC, though. You strike me as someone who will do what is needed since you've made such progress with diet and lifestyle changes in addition to urso. I hope your oncology visit goes well and that you get some clarity of your plan going forward. Wishing you the best.

Hello lovesoccer,

Thank you for the words of encouragement)

It was a bumpy road of getting diagnosed with Fibroscan at 19 to 4 at the present moment.

And as I just thought I ve got a break, I ran into another bump.

I am trying to stay positive, moving forward.

Hopefully will see an oncologist soon.
