I’m sorry for bothering you al with my problems. My ct scan showed my gallbladder inflamed. I’m in the ER. I’m waiting on an ultrasound. Can I decide to have my liver specialist remove it if need be. My alp is out of range and wasn’t out of range since 3 years. I don’t want to have my gallbladder removed.

Hi

If you’re gallbladder is inflamed then there’s no choice but removing it. Because it can’t be resolved by antibiotics. I think your enzymes are related to your gallbladder condition and not for pbc. Don’t worry and do the best decision

Dear Jenny,

Hi🙋‍♀️.

I'm so sorry this is happening. I'm not on here as much as I used to be. Checked in this morning and saw your posts.

If your Gallbladder is inflamed it either has stones or its sick. That's what they told me. I had a small cluster of stones they found back in 2011. Anyway, I didnt have a choice...it had to come out. What have you found out? Urso is supposed to help dissolve stones so I wonder if something else going on?

I'm doing ok, I have all my major check-ups in Nov. and Dec. At last check in July I was about the same as I was back in 2016. So, I guess that's good. No better, no worse.

Stella❤

Something was said about a liquid or slush. I’m still waiting. I hope that this doesn’t mean Urso isn’t working for me

They may have been referring to sludge. That’s what I had. No stones. Nauseous for about 3 months like you sometimes have in pregnancy. Felt great once it was out. Hope you feel better soon. 😊

Also, if you have had problems with some foods, it might possibly be because of gallbladder. I had problems with especially chocolate and hot dogs. After surgery those things no longer bothered me. Ya never know.

I had that and by the next scan it had gone!

Hi

I'm so sorry you are suffering. I think the best decision is to have your gall bladder out. I had mine out aged 20 in October 85!!! I had loads of stones and my gall bladder was inflamed so I had no choice really. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx

You will be fine. You’ll feel better once it is out. Mine came out in 1991.

Hi! My name is Betty I was diagnosed with stage 4 PBC Dec 2017. I had jaundice when I went to the hospital No other symptoms. After Christmas they did a biopsy on my liver and found I had cirrhosis of the liver the ultra sound showed that my gallbladder in flamed and I had gall stones. Since then nothing had changed on the gallbladder but my GP said I should have my gallbladder out but the specialist said no do not get it removed unless it is causing me pain. Good luck with you and God Bless

Hi sweetie, I can't offer any advice - only comfort.

Just wanted you to know we are all here. We know your anxious and it will be okay.

Please remember if you're unsure about why they are making decisions "ASK" You are allowed to know and should be involved in your care. It's called "best practice!" - the professionals need to involve you, so you can feel in control of the planning. If you don't feel up to it nominate someone who has your best interest at heart and knows you well.

That person can challenge if needed and ask suitable questions with the energy and drive you may not have.

Stay strong angel. Best wishes Maxi x
