Enlarged right side

Has anyone ever had this problem? It is not really my abdomen but more my side between my stomach and back. It is on the right side of my body. I did have kidney surgery for a birth defect unrelated to PBC 25 years ago. My kidney wasn’t draining properly and it took two surgeries to fix it. The same thing happened several months ago and my doctor thought it was a hernia because my side was bulging so bad. He knows I have PBC and kidney problems. The ultrasound showed no sign of a hernia or kidney problems and I even did a follow on CAT scan because nobody could figure out what was going on. They said all of my organs including my liver looked normal. I am going to see my hepatologist again when I return from vacation, but I am away this week and worried that this is happening again and wondering if it is happened to anybody else. It has never happened to me, but suggest an MRI instead. I just had one with elastography and it was extremely informative. They pinpointed that I have centimeter long lesion on my pancreas and multiple sub centimeter prominent lymph nodes that never showed up on any other imaging.

have they checked the size of your spleen... mine was double the normal size which pushed on my liver and made my right side larger...

also have they checked for fluid?

this moves around so may be more difficult to see...

I am pretty sure they checked my spleen last time. My hepatologist is very thorough but I researched the fluid buildup and I wouldn’t be surprised if that was what was happening. Thank you!
