Urso for life?

Hi i've just had a diagnosis of pcb today after high protein levels, im going to take urso to bring them back down, once you start taking urso is it for life?

Yes unfortunately but if it gets levels down thats great the only side effect for me was constipation but i have learned to control that with high fibre diet 😐

Lol didnt feel that bloody happy when i got the diagnosis, but there's people worse off!😂

Yes it might be the case till something happened or new medications became available!

We've all been there with diagnosis shock and adjustments.You will find your balance as you go. This site is fantastic source of peer support and info.

If you haven't done so already- you should join the PBC foundation ( they are the sponsors of this support forum).

Go to the PBC foundation- link above. ( it's a separate membership from this peer support group)

You create a User Name and PW ( it's free).

Once you join the Foundation- log in and you will have online access to the quality, vetted medical info on PBC. Under the existing members menu you will find a document called "compendium" Once you open this document scroll down to FAQ's and you'll find info about on AMA and other abbreviations from blood work results.
