Anyone else cold?

Is anyone else having trouble staying warm? I am always cold, even when it's 80 degrees! It's maddening!

No, but I would say get checked to see if you are anemic

I was anemic in February. I have since had iron infusions and, after monthly blood tests, am a smidge above normal. The Hematologist said no need to recheck until December.

I always feel on the warmer side. Any change in meds or anything?

No change in meds. This has been happening for years. It must just be me...

You might have your doctor test thyroid function or tsh. A hypothyroid can make you feel cold. Or maybe that is just the way you are.

My thyroid is totally normal. I have it checked constantly.

Just the opposite, I am always hot and done with menopause for more years than I want to think about. No one has any answers for me so far so guess I will just enjoy the winters I have left. ☺️

I’m always cold , I dint think we realize we are over heating our bodies when we start piling on extra clothes. I found have to wear 100% cotton clothing that breath, I found wearing clothing that has elastasen or spandex trigger itch.

Hope this helps.

Sunny, I am in the same boat as you! I have to wear cotton or else I will itch like mad! No sweaters, no wool and no spandex! If I could live in a t shirt, i would! lol!

Always cold, but know enough not to pile on the clothing, I will over heat (not realizing it) and start itching. Wearing to many pieces of clothing, the itch creeps up. I tell ya, 100% cotton and breath well. Oh, I try to but seamless clothing because the inside seams trigger itch also, I wear my cloths inside out, as long as they don’t look crazy. All underwear are seamless. CRAZY!! But, it could be worse.

I am always cold, even when it’s 80 degree. I have hypothyroidism and on meds for that. It helps a little, not much. Another reason for being cold is poor/slow blood circulation. There are meds for it but I rather dress warm than taking meds.

Hope you feel a little better knowing you are not alone.

Hi ROprish

I realise this post is 6 months old but thought I'd add my 2 cents worth!

I, like you, have a cirrhotic liver and also have problems with regulating body temperature meaning I am cold a lot of the time ( a damaged liver would seem to account for this ). I also developed aching, restless legs quite suddenly and this is now ( another) constant companion !

I'm awfully sorry you are as unwell as you are - are you still managing to work with so many complications of cirrhosis?

Take care
