These are some, not all, of the results of my last bloodwork done on October 29, 2019. These are US estimates. I didn't include the ones that was in normal range but I do have some things that are either the high ens or low end of normal and was wondering if this could effect ones swnse of overall well being IRON: 38 ug/dl, (45-182 ug/do), SATURATUON: 10.1%. The range should be 20 %-50%, UIBC 339.9 range 155 0-300 ug/dl, MCMH 32.9% (32.8-35.4%), Basophil 0.1 k/up (range 0.0 to 0.1) Lymphocytes 19.4% (range 18.1% to 43 2%,) WBC 10.8 k/up (4.4 k/up-10.6 k/ul), Neutrophil 7.7 (2.2-6.9), TIBC 378 ug/do (250-425), RDW 15.1% (range 12.3% to 15.6%), PLT 217 (161-379), RBC 4.51% (range 3.75 ML/ul to 5.01 ml), HCT 38.9% (34.9% to 44.3%), MCV 86.2% (81.8 go-96.9 fl), Ferritin 21.4 % (11.0 ng- 306.80 ng/ml), Vitamin B 12 894.9, TSH 1.949 (0.340 to 5.600), T4 free 0.81 (0.61 1.64). WHAT'S YOUR OPINION OF THESE LAB RESULTS?
dianewilson - suggest you repost the thyroid results on this forum
most people who are being treated with levo etc for hypothyroidism find that need to have TSH levels closer to 1 than your results above so there is a possibility that you are slightly undermedicated but please consult doctor/pharmacist.
Thank you. Maybe my fatigue and concentratiin issues are thyroid related and not B 12 then. If that's the case, I still don't have an explanation as to why B 12 injections help with this though. Your very knowledgeable. Where do you learn all this stuff from? Its like your a medical expert or something based on all of the responses I have read. 💙💜❤😜
dianewilson - it may well be a mix of both hypothyroidism and B12 - if you notice the symptoms improving when you have shots that would suggest that it probably is mainly B12 though.
I am not a medical expert - and this forum really isn't a replacement for good medical advice.
Unlike medics who have to know about everything I only need to know about the conditions that directly affect/are likely to directly affect me so will tend to read up about these things. The problem is generally finding reliable sources of information. I use pubmeds and there are some good books on Pernicious Anaemia available through the PAS

Unfortunately I went on to develop hashimotos thyroidosis (40% chance) so have had the delights of reading up on hypothyroidism as well as pernicious anaemia/B12 deficiency.
