I am so sorry for you ..... and I understand ...... the post op exercises are so demanding. My surgery was on 15 November and I returned to work eventually, early February the following year., a total of about 11 weeks - that said I was unlucky as Christmas intervened and my surgeon was away for 3 weeks of so. Even so, I think if all goes well and you do all your exercises correctly, in a timely manner etc, etc, and you return to full mobility you'd still be off work some 8 weeks. The exercises must be done too, no putting things off and weekly visits to a sports injury massage therapist were a big help to me once the dressings were removed.

Here's wishing you well.

I think the type of support required depends on what the issue is.

Diclfenac cream is very effective with knee pain. Can you access some to try it?

You should be wearing orthopaedic knee sparing shoes if you can afford them.

Are you a candidate for knee replacement surgery? How old are you?

Any store that sells quality orthopaedic shoes will have them. You may have to ask Google where a shoe store like this is located. Good luck.
