Knee: Physio,is going well, exercises are... - Pain Concern
Knee
I don't know about knee surgery I am afraid but exercise will always improve strength and flexibility provided it is done properly and is the correct exercise for you.
But the things are a long haul. I've taken a year to get back to where I was after SI joint fusion. Those 3 months on crutches and 6 months not walking much have taken their toll on my muscles. The joint where the fusion was done has quite severe muscle atrophy. But I will improve it I know.
Just keep at it . I hope your physio is a good one.

I hope so, with physio. I'm not having the op as I have Arthritis in both knee caps and swelling from Lympthoedema as well.
Are you able to go swimming - apparently that's the best therapy. How long will you get physio for?
Hi LD
Having had 10 knee surgeries, I understand your journey. How is your ice regamin? I know not moving like before at the moment is suffocating, trust me you will break through. Have you started exercises with the tens unit yet? Lol oyi!
Also, try upong protein intake. This will help with strength gains as well.
Keeps us up to date on how you are

I think I have another 2 months of physio and my physio is great I think the advice she gave me about my walking is helped a lot and like I am starting to not limp as much as I normally do and I think the exercises I am doing now seem to be helping be gain some strength back in the knee.
The knee gets stronger. You'll have lost some muscle quantity and quality after the injury and up until now - but you'll get it back. Good for you on the walking - how is the range of motion for the knee joint?
Range of motion is good,I can bend well sitting down just struggle to put sock and shoes and not to be able to bend down to put things up😒
