Since start of December had persistent 24/7 symptoms of throat irritation which led to considerable chest pain and fever. Doc prescribed difflam and gaviscon. Took that until 20th after which throat got sorer variably (mostly up behind the soft palette always rather than lower). Had intense throat and stomach burning on 25/26th. Following which epigastric foreign pressure feeling, discomfort 24/7. Then lower abdomen dull pangs and bloating. Since just before new year had 24/7 acid in mouth in varying intensity. Last five days sore lower left teeth. Last week bloodshot eyes (sleeping in 3.5 hour allotments. waking multiple times a night. increase in stress dreams over month from nil). Last three days increased pressure in left eye. Concerned folks, don’t know what’s up, feel unmet by docs.
Been on omeprazole 20mg twice daily since new year, double dose since 29, single dose daily since 27. Hard to determine impact. Just prescribed 28 more after asking for barium, endoscopy or ultrasound to check insides.
Doc taken liver, kidney and CRP test - says if inflammation shows we can talk tests, if not, probs just a case of inflammation.
Made all lifestyle adjustments. Think I need nutritional panel test to check levels. Know omeprazole limits B vitamin. Taking supplements, multivitamin, omega 3, d vitamin, probiotics and herbal teas. Bought slippery elm yesterday. Thinking about magnesium glycinate.
not been diagnosed by a doc. Just handed pills and had to research on own. Think I need eye pressure test, bloodshot check soon as - concerned.
31 y/o male, otherwise robust health history beyond varicocele issue and some psoriasis. Median build, healthy weight.
Please help me, reaching out to loved ones, but not sure what to do / what’s happening. Feels like I’m getting worse as time goes. First symptoms were irregular throat irritation since September. Seriously impact since December.
Love & Peace,

Psoriasis is an autoimmune disease and once you have one you are more likely to have another. Many people with psoriasis end up with psoriatic arthritis too.
I had a sore throat like that for 6 months, and increased joint pain. My GP said 'probably isn't psoriatic arthritis, just a little osteoarthritis.' and I thought hang on, I do have a rash, I just didn't bother to tell him about it because it wasn't really bothering me and he just wanted me out!
Eventually I was referred to rheumatology and they diagnosed me there. And I figured out that some of the sore throat wasn't just reflux, but also inflammation around the little bones in the neck.
Not saying this is what you have. But keep pushing for a diagnosis, because autoimmune conditions can include some of your symptoms.
it sounds like you need an Endoscopy as soon as possible.
Sadly the NHS are running behind and overrun in most clinics.
I was due to have mine at the beginning of November and sadly I’m still waiting. I have suffered with reflux since 2015 so lots of experience as I have one every 2 years
My Reflux sadly burnt the Oesophagus and that was diagnosed as Barrettes Oesophagus which can become cancerous if the reflux continues. I actually take Emsprosole at initially 20 mg as these are better than Omsprosole . Over the years this got worse some 3-4 years ago I developed problems swallowing which was not only embarrassing if your eating out in a restaurant but also very uncomfortable as you have to keep stopping eating
I had an Xray for this which is specialised as they take Xray pictures as you stand on the scanner drinking through a straw, they then lay you down to do the same again.
Try to get your GP to send you urgently for an Endscopy appointment so they can look down your throat down to your stomach to see what’s happening . They will take some biopsy’s to check in the lab for cancer.
If you can’t get an appointment on the NHS it’s worth going private for the endoscopy as you have had the problem a long time now .
