Difflam

When the specialist saw it, he prescribed a mouthwash called Difflam. Being high on Abstral (fentanyl), I couldn't help but laugh hysterically; the Welsh for miserable is Diflas.

Spoke with the GP yesterday, and she prescribed the Difflam spray which contains 0.15% Benzydamine Hydrochloride. She suggested using NSAIDs such as ibuprofen, but I have to remind her every time that I cannot take them due to my my heart condition.

I am prepared with Caphasol mouth wash, Difflam mouth spray, Vaseline for nasal mucosa G-CSF prophylaxis. I will take it easy especially around the second week following the chemo, hopefully it will all be uneventful.

Eating and drinking is incredibly sore and even speaking isn’t comfortable, so my doctor prescribed a numbing spray (Difflam) but that provides only temporary relief and I have to use painkillers as well to get control of the pain.

I have ordered some Cowgoo moisturiser and am going to get some Difflam mouthwash. Is there anything else that would give me the reassurance that I have my full arsenal at the ready?

Tried difflam already and now some throat lozenges. Still sore. Hurts to swallow. Even just naturally without drinking. Miserable. Tell me something about your day. Thanks C

Can anyone who’s had mouth ulcers tell me how long they last, I’ve had them about 10 days and don’t seem to be getting any better, I’ve been using difflam 3 times a day. Only got them after the 5th chemo of carbo/caylex

I went to the doctor and he just looked and said 'oh I don't know what to suggest' 😔 He gave me Difflam spray and said if it doesn't clear in a few days to phone my Rheumatologist at Guys. The ulcer in my throat is giving me ear ache where my throat is so sore.

Difflam mouth rinse didn't do anything, my MacMillan nurse gave me GelClair which did help you rinse your mouth 30 mins before eating. I eventually went to my Doctor as it turns out I also had a mouth infection and prescribed Fluconazole.

😲 Tried difflam, bonjela and toothpaste! Had steroid injection 3 weeks ago but they keep appearing and disappearing on a daill based. On hydroxy and meloxicam.

So im off to bed with last lot of paracetamol 4 the day and difflam spray for the ulcers and throat. Hopefully a gd night sleep with make me feel new again.

Got home and feel rubbish - throat all swollen and sore, mouth ulcers like I have not had before and cant stop shivering (Difflam spray in use once more).

She got penicillin, difflam throat spray and ibuprofen . A 12 yr old always not well and always popping pills is not good. She does need blood tests doing as i said if 4 children i have she is always unwell. 87% her attendance now . How can it be helped for goodness sake.

I went to pharmacist for advice yesterday on what to use for my throat (Difflam spray recommended as its anti inflammatory and pain relief), she said if I dont feel better to go to see my GP (as Im on 25mg MTX subcutaneously per week)....

Been on flucanazole 100mg a day for 10 weeks and also had difflam mouth rinse, nystan, and dakatarin oral gel and I still can't get rid of it. I've tried rinsing after taking my nebs and have now stopped the difflam as was told it was making it worse.

I have tried nystatin, difflam, bonjella and corsodil without affect. Its so sore now I can't eat (not that will do me harm) or drink much. Has anyone had a similar problem. I have had to stop taking it its so painful. Thanks #Sadwheezer
