Hi everyone. I am taking several pain killers for my condition. one in particular is Nefopam. can anyone on here confirm they take Nefopam and does it have logo A55 embossed on it. Mine does but when checking on the web it is not a recognised logo. I get mine supplied with lots of other weekly drugs monthly and wondered if they have been put in my tray by mistake..
Please identify my tablet!: Hi everyone. I am... - Pain Concern
Please identify my tablet!
Why don’t you speak to chemist/pharmacist at local pharmacy? They are best placed to identify medications.
I agree with Bevvy, you need to talk to the person who put the tray together for you or if you can't to a chemist.
But it is also worth telling the people preparing the tray that this confusion arose. When I was part of the Patient Participation Group at our surgery I had meetings with the dispensing team. They said one of the common problems that patients had was that drugs had been changed and no one had explained this to them. We tried to work out how this information could be relayed to the patient to cut down on the number of extra queries they were getting. Sadly we didn't come to any conclusion, there was no easy way to avoid this because the dispensers and pharmacists don't alway know what has changed because they may not be aware of what you had last time.
Hi it should tell you on the list on the tray, it identifies your tablets that are in the tray x
Yes you need to talk to your pharmacist if you are unsure, often tablets look different if they are from a different manufacturer eg one tablet of mine has been anything from a white oval one to a small yellow or larger yellow round tablet according to manufacturer.
Thanks everyone for your comments.
