Hi, i’m not sure if this is a silly question but, i hit my head on the table and there’s a little bruise and it hurts, have a little headache, other than that i feel fine but what exactly is the difference between hitting your head and having a concussion, is every head injury considered a concussion, i’ve hit my head plenty of times during school because i was in color guard and they would take it pretty seriously even though i felt fine so i would be confused as to why it was such a big deal, it would usually just leave a bruise, would any head injury just be considered a concussion?

Concussion is losing consciousness.A bruise is ok. Just painful.

Rub arnica cream onto the bruise. Or apply ice( wrapped in a cloth) for 10 minutes.

Head pain ,neck pain,cant stay awake,bad signs n there's more.I've had 4 or more concussions,stroke ,tias,so my advice...

Take it seriously if ur gut says something's not right.

Worst case scenario...ur aok n need to rest.

If the bruise is bad, you can apply Arnica cream. It’s from a plant and it acts like ice. It’s remarkable how quickly a bruise will go away with this cream/ gel.I hope you’re feeling better.
