I can't answer for everyone, but I'm suffering from aches and pains.

I have good days and some pretty awful days.

But I have people around me who put up with me, and for that ,- I'm grateful.

Thank you for asking.

I appreciate that!💚👍

I too can't answer for everyone but I am still in agony all the time, from putting my feet down on the floor when I get out of bed until I go back to bed. Every time I walk it is so painful. I am literally living off painkillers just to exist. I recently got a diagnosis from a specialist centre in Liverpool for CRPS, which I knew already. Problem with this is there is no treatment. He mentioned that I had severe arthritis in my big toe joint and that I can't bend it, this is why I can't walk but no one is offering me any treatment or operation which if I had it then I would be able to walk. I am sick of asking the doctor but he is not interested. I wish he had my pain, but they don't care. Thank you for asking, take care.

Have you tried wrapping it to the toe beside it? What about a compression sock or an orthopaedic boot?

I can’t imagine not being able to walk.

Thank you for your reply, Yes I have tried all this before, nothing helps at all. If I had an operation on my toe 4 years ago then I would have at least been able to walk. I have found more out on GOOGLE. People say don't self diagnose but if a doctor doesn't help what choice do I have. I am due to go yet again to see my doctor but it will be another waste of time once again.

If only you could go private and get that surgery done.

I agree doctors are brushing people off and it should be deemed criminal! They’ve made you disabled because you haven’t had the surgery you need.

I had to self diagnose as well in Canada. In 2008 I developed a severe nerve injury in my right buttock near my rectum. I couldn’t sit!

I am lucky to be alive. The doctors disabled me and now my retirement is ruined after working my butt off for 31 years. I was misdiagnosed due to their neglect. I know how you feel.

I’ve had the surgeries I needed but they were all done years too late. That is why I am disabled now.

You are right it is criminal, I don't know how they can get away with it, because I struggle to walk I have now developed Sciatica, my left side near my buttock is killing me all the time, I have been walking with a limp putting pressure on my left side. When I get up in the morning I am in severe pain when my feet hit the floor, until I go to bed and then I can't sleep, my life is just rubbish all the time, I don't know what is going to happen to me next? plus I have the added stress of going to a tribunal to get my PIP back, they have reduced it and took my mobility off me.

Fingers crossed that you get it back

Thank you Petrina_gmfc, I have contacted my local welfare rights and an officer is coming with me to the tribunal. There is no way that they are going to take it off me, it took me years to get it in the first place.

A friend of mine is going through the same.

It is disgusting isn't it? how people who have disabilities and are ill are not believed because if we have to beg for what is rightly ours they obviously don't believe us. I just wish these people who decide if we can get it or not feel our pain and what we are going through. I don't think they would care though

I just wish the pain would go away and I would feel better.

It is terrible living with pain. I have had it for over 4 years when I fell badly downstairs and broke my ankle. I had no care when I went to the hospital, I was told to walk on it which I have and this is what happened and to top it all off I have been diagnosed with CRPS, because I had no treatment and I walked on it, I made it worse and I have to live with this illness now forever and there is no cure.

I’m the same. I stood up all day for 22 months because I could not sit.

Now my legs are killing me.

I want to sue the doctors in BC, Canada who purposely misdiagnosed me and left me poly drugged with intractable nerve pain. They are cruel.

I am so sorry that you are in pain. I tried to sue my local NHS that made me disabled, I had lots of evidence including Xray results, everything was in writing, it took nearly 3 years and a week before getting the final answer to it, I was told from my solicitor that the NHS had admitted it and I would get £30,000, a week after I had an email saying that they hadn't admitted it and I would get nothing. The doctors and specialists all sided with one another and decided amongst themselves that the care? that I had was correct even though I had a broken ankle. It makes me sick how they can get away with it, but a person who gets a splinter in their finger can get thousands. What is the difference?

Surviving not thriving i'm afraid. looking forward to trying Gabapentin. Hopeful it'll help.

Does anyone have any experience with it?

I have been on Gabapentin 3600 mg for about 18 months now and whilst it does kind of help, it doesn't stop the pain completely as I am on Morphine ( Oramorph) liquid aswell

Smilesalot profile image
Smilesalot in reply to Rockelburger

Hi sweetie 🙂.I'm taking Gabapentin now. For 3 months. It's taking the edge off the pain but so is the morphine. If I were a Dr I wouldn't prescribe it for severe pain. I'm in pain all the time . Severe 90% of the time.Sorry if that doesn't help. But ask what you want🙂

Hugs sweetie Dawn 🤗🤗🤗🙃,
