You can get a spray in chemists that helps to soften the adhesive and makes it much easier, otherwise your practice nurse might help .
I always leave mine until they fall off. Good luck!
OOOOHHH..even though its on u I remember that look and how it felt numerous times. My friend.. take it slow, don't rush taking them off and...maybe wait till they start peeling up.I found taking a shower(as creepy as it felt)..did help loosen those up.Wish u well in ur recovery.
