The GP is right not to give you strong pain killers.

You say: " I have to use a wheelchair when I go out". This is an indication that you will run the risk of bed sores with strong pain killers.

The above reference is an open access pdf. It is a difficult read for non academics. However, it gives a useful handle on which to look for treatment options as well as indicating the ignorance that exists in the medical profession about fascia and its role in chronic conditions.

Fascia is something that many in the complementary therapies worked on without knowing what it was they were working on. The first international conference on fascia was in 2007 at Harvard medical school. The placing of fascia issues on a scientific basis is so new that only the latest cohort of graduates from medical school are likely to know much about it.

Thomas Myers is worth googling. His explanations on youtube are useful,

Fibromyalga is a name for a set of symptoms. It is a name to pass around doctors. There is a possible treatment for it from the complementary therapies. You need to investigate.

You say: "type two diabetes". This has an influence on your situation. Diet becomes an issue for treating for pain because some of the pain you have may be "type two diabetes" caused. Keep a food diary. There will be a time gap of up to 24 hours between pain and food induced pain and discomfort.

Sleep is important for fine muscle control. loss of sleep loss of fine muscle control.

Have a look at talleygroup.com. and "Alerta Bubble2 Pressure Relief Air Bubble Mattress Overlay with Pump. The two companies provide air pressure moving pressure systems. You need to investigate will this reduce the discomfort I am in in regard to lying down and sitting down? If my thoughts on fascia are correct then what Talley group produces will be useful.
