As a Osteoarthritis sufferer, I am interested in anything that looks as if it might receive pain. So has any body tried Cannabinoid, I would welcome any comments.

Cannabinoid ?
Hello Lybra
Much has been discussed here, and on other forums, about the use of CBD.
Personally I am in favour of its benefits. It is a natural product...with the addition of certain oils helps many many conditions.
Advice is go for a good one. Many from high street stores ar cheap and less effective. Well not so much cheap as less expensive..
It is not illegal in the UK as CBD has barely a trace of thc...that is the illegal part of the plant.
I buy mine from mainland Spain. From someone knowledgeable in his field. You can buy capsules as well as the oil and varying strengths depending on your level of pain.

Thank you for that, it would seem to be effective from the research I have made. I have hesitated because of the stigma of Cannabis itself. But perhaps the powers that be, will reconsider if more people apply pressure.
Many GPs will recommend CBD even though they can't actually prescribe it.
The gov will not bow to pressure from us as the big pharmaceutical companies won't let them.
Money!

Hello. I've been suffering chronic pain in my lower back for the last 5years; the meds barely touch the pain but they do leave me incredibly fatigued. I'm very interested in having a trial run with CBD. I would very much appreciate it if you could give me details of your supplier in Spain. Thank you.
I am not happy to try it as I read that it thins your blood and I’m on a anticoagulant apixaban also it can make your heart race and I have afib but wish I could hear from someone that takes it who has my problem and is ok as I would like to give it a go
Will see what I can find out for you Kingsley09

Thanks
This has come back from my man in Spain
....consult their GP or specialist if in any doubt about taking CBD. Anybody elses advice is not medical based and it's important they are advised based on their own medical condition
I haven't found any conclusive evidence to suggest CBD affects blood coagulation but I would always be led by a medical professional first
Could I ask where you get it from in Spain, I’ve bedn on Cbd since June last year, but seems to have stopped working
No problem. I will send private message

Hello Bananas5,
I have neuropathic pain for which I take pregabalin and tramadol, neither of which is very pleasant. I have tried cbd oil bought from Holland and Barratt but found it to be not effective at all.
I wonder if you could possibly send me the contact details for your Spanish supplier...please?

Could you please let me know where you get your cbd from in spain
Of course. Will send in private message

Hi Kingsley. I suggest that you join one of the Facebook cbd oil support groups . They are very helpful and knowledgeable. Getting advice on types of products, dosage etc is important.
I am finding cbd useful for pain now that I have found out how to use it properly.
Dee
Whatever were you doing with it before Dee???
Hope you are OK up there.

Hi Pat. I was taking on a 'as and when' basis and also at the same time as my opiates. It seems that it is more effective with long term use and leaving a two hour window on either side of painkillers.
I am using 16% paste not oil now which seems to suit me better. My pain is manageable most of the time. Manageable meaning I don't question whether living is a good option !
I am having a spike at the moment though as I got a bit over enthusiastic with the drop in pain levels and inflamed my lumber spine.
Snow wise ? Remeber that ? Here I am in the Highlands of Scotland looking out on barely an inch of snow, clear blue skies and sunshine. No snow day school closure up here. Kids are furious.
I use a good company online for CBD products. Next day delivery usually.
It thins your blood and I’m on apixaban anticoagulant
I'd love to know where you get this information from? I haven't found any conclusive evidence to suggest CBD affects blood coagulation but I would always be led by a medical professional first

My anticoagulant clinic I always ask there advice plus I did read it somewhere on the net that’s why I asked my clinic and I’m on apixaban and they don’t have an antidote to stop bleeding if you were to start a bleed you just have to wait for it to stop so it would be foolish to ad something that could make it worse. I believe they are trying to develop an antidote, in fact until they have a friend of mine has said no to taking it and has settled on wafaring even though it has more things that you can’t take but at least they have an antidote, but apixaban has beeen found in tests to be safer with less bleeds on the brain
You are correct Kingsley. CBD can interference with the way your body metabolises other medicines. That can be to either increase the effects or decrease them. Or neither. Hence the two hour window to allow other medicines to do their thing. ( so scientific my explanation !).
That's why I always recommend a support group. I've had such excellent advice there.
Dee
Can't it be taken instead of rather than as well as? Cuts down on the amount of chemicals sloshing around inside.

That would be the aim but although I have reduced my Tapentdol by a third in the morning and reduced my Noritryptoline I dont feel I am ready for the next step. I had a step back probably due to too large an increase in my activity levels. Or one specific exercise that has triggered extra pain.
xx
I have very recently tried the 2.75 cbd and i am being honest it has not done absolutely nothing apart from it tastes like nothing ive tasted before. I am on a very high dose of morphine so i did not know how many drops to take per dose but if it was to work then i would take it. Try it it might work for you oh and i too suffer osteoarthritis top middle and bottom of my spine.
Min-pain. I suggest you too go onto a Facebook ( other medias are available) and ask advice. If it's 2.75 % cbd that sounds very low.
I use 16.4% paste but I am taking just a rice grain size 3 times a day. I put it on a tiny bit of biscuit to let it dissolve for 3 minutes.
I have chocolates which are good for when I am out and taste not bad if you like dark chocolate.
Dee
