Pip review
Hi,if I may ask how long have you left on your award? I am on enhanced for both after winning my appeal and I was under the impression that review should take place a year before award ends, but mine is until 27th January 2020 and ive not heard a thing.
Hi there, mine is next march 2020, and I have a form to fill out to be in by sep 20th ,only thing that as changed is that I need another op which im waiting for a date , so im wondering how I tell them , the op is supposed to stop things getting worse , but im not getting better.
There is something going on with the renewals, they’re not sending them a year before any more and some are six months before or Earlier. it’s changing over in Scotland and they are taking control with their own benefit department so not sure if it’s anything to do with that as I’m in Scotland; but there is something funny going on with it.
Hi I was wondering if it was anything to do with winning my appeal and they were going to make people reapply at the end of the award. I only have 5 months left on my award something strange going on because last review it was posted exactly a year before end.
Yes it is normally exactly a year before they send out awards, I think it could also be to do with the new light touch decisions and those with long term illnesses.
Could be , ive rung them twice now asking where my review form is and they said if not heard before 16 weeks to end date then ring again! They confirmed it wouldn't be a renewal but I don't believe a word they say after my other experiences with them.
If you are still having the same problems as before, then just write that, and you won't need any letters from the consultants, if things have got easier and better, then advise them, if things have got worse, enclose correspondence from consultants with your form.
Benefits and Work do really good guides for filling out PIP forms and they have one for renewals too. Worth the money to join and get the full guides but the free bit of the website has some good information too.
Important to answer as if it is the worst day in the year and certainly have letter from GP and/or any consultant.Their job is to lower your entitlement.I had a friend with terminal cancer who got her PIP reduced to basic because we found out she had not given them a medical assessment letter and DOS1500 form. I say imagine it is your worst day and think positive afterwards. They are only interested in not ticking boxes. I think they get a bonus if they can reduce your PIP.Terrible. The best of luck.
