Hi, Ive changed from DLA to PIP, I had 1 assessment a couple of months back which was successful but due to a change in circumstances recently I had to be assessed again from scratch. Definitely get help from CAB, they helped me with the initial transfer from DLA to PIP and then with the change in circumstances. When you get an appointment for your assessment if you turn up late they will dismiss your claim and you will have to reapply again so make sure to photocopy your sons claim forms before you post it back to PIP, and keep it safe for future reference. Make sure you submit as much medical evidence as you can and if you have any professional support workers that can give written evidence, ie. social services, health visitors, nurses and support workers from his school. Anything that supports your son with his aspergers. PIP are not there to help you they are they to save the government money so please go to CAB for assistance. I am awaiting a decision from PIP from my second assessment. Good luck with your sons transfer. x
