I am having roaring sounds in my head like planes going over. Does anyone have roaring sounds in their head? I have had an infected tooth for a long time! I also have fibromyalgia, arthritis in my neck, need back surgery, on gabapentin and other pain meds.
What is causing this noise? I read it's nerves as in being nervous--I think it's more than that.

Hi. If the sound is Tinnitus, then your GP can refer you to ENT. We didn't really get much help though, with my husband's Tinnitus. Still best to tell GP in case it's something else that might be short term and fixable.
Are you nervous about going to the dentist? That's understandable. Sometimes the fear is worse than the actual dentist visit, is there any one who can go with you?
Meanwhile, there are a couple of things that can help till you get the antibiotic from the dentist :
Salt mouth washes. Let boiled water cool (add flat teaspoon salt to mug). Hold warm water in mouth over infected tooth till heat as gone. Spit out & repeat several times.
After taking pain relief brush gently with a little bicarbonate of soda and rinse.
