Sore heel: I'm a cheerleader and at school I... - Pain Concern
Sore heel
If you want to be able to continue cheerleading, then you really need to get your foot looked at, and if necessary treated, as soon as possible to avoid the possibility of it getting any worse. You could have some kind of stress fracture for example. Talk to your Mum, and go see your doctor about it. Better to have a short time off now, than to be banned from cheerleading for good if you damage it further.
I think you know the answer. Stop and get your heel assessed. Surely your mother would not want you to be in pain. Keeping on when your body is warning you that there is a problem could lead to long term without the cheerleading and possibly stop you for ever.
Be sensible and get it seen to.

See your cheerleading or physical education coach. They have seen all this before and would know what to do.
This may be time to go down with some nasty flu bug where your fellow cheer leaders are concerned.
Hope this helps.
It sounds a bit like Severs disease which young people can get when they over exercise. My ten year old grandson has it especially after football. Insole supports help, but rest is really the answer. Tell your mu m and ask her to look it up with you. You will grow out of it as my son had it at 13 and it tailed off. He's 48 now!!
