Abdominal Soreness for Over a Week?!

That's right. I'm a 19yr old male weighing 135lbs, no abdominal tenderness, it just feels very sore and hurts somewhat when I press down on the right abdomen. Sometimes the same pain is felt on the left abdomen (It mainly stays within right). Sometimes during the day or night the pain will be gone but will return eventually. It's accompanied by Bad Breath, terribly unusually bad breath.

I also feel slightly winded when I press on the right abdomen, particularly right where my ribcage ends. I've been drinking water and koolaid, and eating mainly fibers since my pain began. Eating oatmeal has relieved the pain.

Oddly as the week has passed, the pain I felt has eased, as it was very sharp to the touch however now it feels dull, and not as severe. Urinating is fine no pain, no blood in stools. No fever or nausea. I went into the ER a few nights ago and was told blood is fine, xrays fine, ultrasound fine. I've been sleeping pretty well without disturbance (fingers crossed)

No GP yet. I'll keep posting symptoms here as I go on, probably once or twice a day. Any clues on what it could be?

If everything was fine in the ER then you need to hang onto that. Sometimes these things happen, bodies are pretty messy things. And sometimes pain which is actually all in the brain, gets the brain confused and hangs on for longer than there is actually any cause for the pain. So if it is getting better, go with it. If it is getting worse go to the GP. They are the experts at diagnosing these sorts of things.

If it's the upper right abdomen, it may be that you've had a gallstone. They can pass on their own, but the pain may only be triggered when you eat fatty foods, as that will trigger the gallbladder to contract to release bile to digest the fats. It sounds like you've been on an ultra low fat diet since the pain started, so you'll only know if it's passed by resuming fattier food. Alternatively, if you stick to a low fat diet, it may never bother you again even if it hasn't passed already.

Best to see your GP there are a catalogue of issues this could be, pain is relieved by eating could maybe be an ulcer , appendix pain isn't relieved by eating .

Hope you manage to get to the bottom of it.

Stomached down 2 tuna fish sandwiches earlier as I've finally had the appetite to do so. It's been probably 3 hours since then and now my abdomen is burning all hells loose lol. Any ideas?

If you had mayonnaise in that sandwich, I repeat my earlier theory - it could be gallstones. If you can't get a GP appointment to get it checked quickly, stick to very low fat food (below 5%) and you should be ok in the meantime until you can get it checked.
