I had similar but in both feet, though my whole feet ached, it was because of tight calf muscles. Your prob might be different you should go get it checked by your doctor and they should send you to the right person to get it sorted.

Get it checked by your doctor. This hopefully will eliminate any possible serious problem. A sports therapist is who you need to see if you have tight calf muscles. This can be manually stretched if that is the case. An expert on such things can give you guidance on such things if on investigation it is found you have calf muscles which are too tight.

Hi, as mentioned a sports therapist would be a good first point. Would be worth having a look at plantar fasciitis online. Good luck.

A podiatrist is worth a visit to check for bone spurs or as Lisa KB says plantar fascitis. I suffered for awhile with these symptoms and they were resolved by wearing custom orthothotics in my shoes,

Rather than a GP you might want to see a podiatrist. They are the expects at everything below the knee. In some areas you can self refer now.

I just recently went through this. I am assuming mine was a flare from psoriatic arthritis. It lasted well over a month, the swelling is finally gone down. I did see my podiatrist and he did xrays and said he believed it was a change in my arthritis. He gave me topical creams and pain ointments and it has helped. Unfortunately the swelling has moved to my knee on the opposite side 😞 so very frustrating, it seems we cant catch a break.
