Sounds like it could be sciatica to me. Especially if the hip pain is at the back of the hip. The sciatic nerve runs through the buttock but feels a bit like hip pain at times, down the leg sort of half way between the back and side, through the heel and into your outside toes. I feel it worst on the heel and back of my knee and when the nerve gets pinched it always starts off feeling like hip pain
Have had pain in right heel for ages that disappears with calf stretches.
I need to do the stretches every morning.
I hope your doctor can sort it for you.
Hi sharp pain very localized in heal could be a marching injury I have had one walking around zoo with kids one day so it can happen easily a small chip of bone the prob, I had a cast on for 6 weeks it was sorted after that. it came from out the blue and hurt like hell to walk on almost like a small bit of glass in the foot, just a thought Mud shark?

Google plantar fasciitis. Could be your problem. Good luck!
Definitely could well be. I had what I thought was plantar fasciatis for quite a while back in 2016. It killed when putting my heel on the floor. It helped a lot to wear teva's (rubber soles). I then got all my other troubles later in the year and it was then mentioned that it could well have be part of the sciatica I had very badly by then. Afetr my first back operation the heel pain disappeared so it could well have been. With having hip problems at the same time it might be that your heel pain makes you walk badly causing the hip problems. See your GP might be advisable.
This definitely needs to be ruled out. That’s what I thought it could’ve to.
It might be a good idea to see a podiatrist, they are the experts of everything below the knee. It might be something in the hip causing the pain in the heel, but it can also be the other way around, it could be something going on in the foot that is referring up to the hip.
In some areas you can self refer now to podiatry, but in others you need to go through your GP.
I have heel pain, I thought it was
plantar fascitis, turned out to be beginning of my sciatica. ..L5 , S1 disc pressing on nerve manifested in heel pain , then whole leg, both legs and hips...pins and needles, some numbness...I would get things checked out if I were you, mri with contrast
