I am currently being treated for first recurrence and are getting Carbo/Doxil and Keytruda. I recently had an echocardiogram and it showed a lot of pericardial effusion. I was immediately rushed to ER and then off to radiology intervention to insert a drain. I was admitted to critical care for 4 days until drain was removed. I was then told by my oncologist that cancer cells were found in the fluid which indicates treatment is not working. I am now going to start a new treatment which I think is Gem Taxol and Avastin. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this as I am hoping this new treatment works.

Sorry to hear your treatment isn't working. I am sure many ladies on here will be able to help as I know a lot have had these drugs. Good luck with it. Sorry not to be of more help. Oh actually if you search posts it comes up with some other entries. healthunlocked.com/ovacome/...
Hi. That sounds scary! Since you’re in the US I’m wondering why you’re not getting Elahere. I assume they’ve tested you for folate receptor alpha? They seem to think it’s the most effective treatment for platinum resistant people.
Do you have high grade OC? I didn’t think immunotherapy usually worked for high grade. Anyway I would ask about Elahere. I’m about to start it for third recurrence.
Yes I have HG OC but my tumor burden was very high so I was a candidate for Keytruda. I believe he is taking me off that and going with Avastin which they had to stop 2 years ago because it elevated my BP. Now he wants to give it to me as he believes had I been taking it along with Zejula I would have had slower progression. He is also looking into clinical trials for me.
