Apologies for asking a trivial question amongst all the more serious issues!! 2 yrs post chemo my hair is not recovering. Had growth but super thin. Don't have the money for trial and error re products and the recommendations from my hairdresser haven't worked. I take daily Biotin. Any tried and tested products out there? Anyone tried the Liason hair bond products?

Hi, it’s not trivial as it matters to you and there’s a lot tied up with hair loss. Grow Gorgeous is used a lot and Champu is also supposed to be good-there’s hair serums which you apply all over your scalp to stimulate growth or shampoos for appearance of thickening and condition

On the cheaper side and not a C patient who recommended, but The Ordinary has a peptide hair growth serum which is about £20.

Hi, I lost my hair just after 1st Chemo and my eyebrrows just before 6th one. Three weeks after my 6th chemo my eyebrows statered growing and I used rosemary oil which was recommeneded to me at chemothropay. I used it on my hair and eyebrows (every other night). Both have come out better than before just waiting for my hair to grow. If you buy oraganic one even better. Xx

Hi. One of the chemo nurses recommended almond oil. I massage my head every night (if I remember). I’ve not finished treatment yet, so I can’t tell you if it works or not. Good luck.

BTW I don’t think it’s trivial at all. It’s a milestone on this awful journey., a return to normality of sorts. x

I am 2 years on from chemo and on Olaparib. Still wearing wigs as my fringe (correction, there isn't one) is thin, woolly in texture and really does not grow to a normal length. Mind you, I am 77 and lost my hair 20 years ago to breast cancer. Then it grew back normally but this time seems to have taken a longterm bashing. So, I just have fun with wigs and switch from grey to blond to red, as the clothes take me. I don't use anything on it as I am sceptical.

Why so many bald men if something OTC would give them their hair back?
