I got a new app for my phone so I thought I would make a visual progress report of hair growth. Some of the ladies that are currently dealing with hair loss might find it a bit interesting. This is over a 4 month period!

You are so good with technology D, can't believe how much it's grown in 4 months. Looking good.

Hey Debs!
App is called The Photo Collage! I think there are a few similar ones on the Google store....I am android buy I am also sure that there will be great ones for Apple too if your an iPhone fan!!
I had shoulder length hair before chemo but I actually like the short hair so going to keep it for a while! Not sure what I am going to do about the colour yet!!

Thanks for posting, I was wondering how your hair was growing!! Yes I'd also like to know the app please, my hair started to peep at the top of my scalp last Friday - Taxol was stopped after chemo 4 and I suddenly saw what looked like a bruise over part of my scalp ! Hubby couldn't see anything but yey a little dark 6 o'clock shadow!!!! Eyelashes continued to fall out and every long lash has gone - last one fell out on Friday as I was waiting to go In For my last chemo - however I do have tiny tiny ones coming back. Eyebrows were very gappy but now there are little dark ones growing back in the gaps and damn it I have to pluck stray ones underneath the brow!! I'm watching with trepidation for the facial hair growth that I read about!!
I should be back at work at the beginning of sept and I am hoping not to have to wear my cap, I've already decided I'm not wearing my wig as I have only worn it three times in outing so so far just don't get in with it!
Have a great day

Looking good - I think we're at the same stage so was wondering how you were doing. Mine is just beginning to curl up at the neckline - not sure whether to get my husband to wield the scissors!!
That is fantastic. Mine is at the bottom left stage after 10 weeks. My husband told me to comb it as it was starting to look messy. He is such a wit. Xxx
What a great app! Your hair looks really good now! Wonder how long it will be in another four months? Get some hair bobbles!
love

Four months! Not so long to wait then as mine is just about the top left hand corner picture.
Hey January,
That's really why I posted it just to let people know that it doesn't take too long for the hair to come back!!! Still a way to go but happy with the progress so far!!!

I started out this marathon with brunette hair and longer. I now have white hair that I keep quite short. My husband loves it so much and people now stop me and ask how I got this color and style. I laugh and say Ovarian Cancer. I must say they look at me like I was crazy.
Came out of remission after 10 months and started chemo again. This time I should not lose my hair. I never wore wigs, only scarves since I was a scarf manufacturer in New York and Arizona. Never thought I would wear them because of cancer. It's Ok since a lot of chemo patients now wear the scarves that I made. Makes me feel good. Have a nice day.

It's so good to see how quickly hair grows again after chemo. Very reassuring.
Does leg and underarm hair grow back at the same speed ?
Yes Sarah! Underarm hair started pretty much straight away legs took a little longer but both are gorilla like nowππππ
You are starting your Chemo this week I think? Best of luck!
Dx
Lol. Does that mean body hair grows back thicker and longer ?? Eeek!
Yes chemo starts on Tues.
When I reached remission (all 3 months of it) after fist-line, my hair started growing back quite quickly. Everyone liked it short and I was trying to figure out a way to style it when along came recurrence. The doc wanted to try doxil and avastin, which she said probably wouldn't much affect my hair. Unfortunately, it affected most everything else and increased in toxicity each month. It did bring my CA125 down enough that she didn't feel bad about giving me a little break to heal up. So next in the bag of tricks was -- you guessed it -- taxol. Hair gone again in less than 3 weeks. However, the regimen I'm following, low weekly dose, 3-on and 1-off, has worked beautifully and I am tolerating it very well. Well worth losing the hair for. Hair-wise however, since I'm platinum-resistant I'll probably need to be on something most of the time, and as long as the taxol works I'll still be a billiard ball. I can, and hopefully, will with that. I didn't care for wearing a wig either, but if it's going to be long term I might just need to learn. If I can figure out how, I'll attach a pic of my cute short hair that I may never see again. sniff, sniff (so glad to be alive!)
OK, couldn't attach picture, but learned how to post a profile picture, so here I am with fluffy short hair--I always had long straight, and looked like one of the quintessential rockers of the 60s. At one point when my hair was really short, my husband compared me to Dame Judi Dench, and that sounded much nicer!
Gosh that is very good D, well done,
