DEAR ALL, I Feel so lucky . I was originality diagnosed with Ovarian cancer 14years ago treated with surgery and chemo. Then diagnosed with Primary peritoneal cancer in July 2015, reoccurence in April last year treated with Carboplatin and Caelyx finished Sept last year went into full remission again. Sept 2 lymph nodes enlarged but at the time was having problems with my incisions hernia, so decided to watch and wait. Appointment with oncologist today , very nervous , not been feeling great , but have had bilateral cataract extractions recently. Anyway is exact words were the scan is excellent, nothing to do. I asked if I could kiss him, so I did and he will see me again in 3months. I am so, so grateful and feel so lucky. MY heart goes out to all of you who are having a really hard time and I wish for you what you would wish for yourself. Love Chris

Thanks,Lorraine. Have you started on Taxol or decided against it. I hope you as well as you can be and have a good Christmas. Love Chris
Hi Chris, sorry love for not answering your post sooner, I find it hard to sit up for long,
no I did not take taxol my oncologist thought it would g be hard as I had reaction to it last time and my daughters felt that would it be worth it for little gain, they wanted me to have the best guilty of life for the time I have.
I've been of all treatment now for over 5 months and I have good days and bad .
the palliative team and my GP are helping me to control the pain for now.
I must admit I do wonder if I'm doing the right thing,I now can feel one tumor on my side, when I was fighting the cancer with chemo I always felt that I had a chance.
I just hope I will be as brave as lily-anne and the other ladies before me for now I'll just enjoy this time especially Christmas.
Thank you for your concern take care and Merry Christmas to you and your family Lorraine xx

DEAREST Jessica, I have been thinking about you and wondering how you are. I so hope you are well and looking forward to Christmas. Love Chris
Hi Chris, what wonderful news, so pleased for you, early Christmas present!
I have been quite poorly, I’m allergic to weekly taxol, but it was my only option for 3rd line. So I was desensitised with very high dose of steroids. Resulting in a very poorly me, my body swelled up with fluid, I couldn’t walk, painful hives all over my face, I was referred to hospice at home, it’s taken a good five weeks but I can walk now, mostly off oxygen, didn’t think I’d recover tbh.
Now I’m self funding Abraxane which is still paclitaxol but it has a different carrier which is what they ‘think’ I’m allergic to.
I’ve only managed to half doses, it’s still weekly, due to UTI. I’m due tomorrow but I feel I need a few more days so I will be asking to have it Friday instead.
I have been popping on and reading, so thank you for thinking of me. You have a wonderful Christmas xx
Dear Chris
What wonderful news. Your post has given me hope for my scan results next Thursday. I have been on watch and wait for over five months now . Scan in Jun picked up a lung nodule along with swollen lymph nodes. Three months later lung node had magically disappeared but lymph nodes swollen a bit more. Now I hope last week's scan will somehow have reduced those lymph nodes ! Pass some of your magic dust over to me please . I'm really so thrilled for you . It's a wonderful early Christmas present.
