So nice to hear your doing well I'm in a similar position to you and it's another kick up the butt to cancer. Where are you attending the life after cancer program that's something I would be very interested in xx
Hi Susue, is called the beechwood cancer care centre base in Stockport my doctor refer me the program last 8 weeks you have a confidential time for you to talk with your nurse they offer therapies, topic and information sessions and relaxation and visualisation I'm am looking forward to it, got appointment on the 16 sept to see them you go for a whole day hope this had helped
Such good news! What is this life after cancer programme? If I get the all clear when I see my oncologist at the end of the month, I should be going back to work in October but it feels such a big step being expected to be the same as I was this time last year before I started getting symptoms - one minute you're a patient and the next back in the world of work. Something to help prepare would be really useful.
Hi numi, the program is called moving on, is aimed at those reached the point where they wish to evaluate and prioritie and may be contemplating a return to work or finding new ways to live, my doctor refer me is a charity plus I've have started back to work this week they have been very good, ask your doctor do they do everything like this in your area good luck with your journey,
Great news Tess you will find that course very helpful and supportive, we all need something when the treatment and hospital visits come to an end, Sending you best wishes
