Tymlos

Hi everyone, I'm interested to see in the news today that the drug Tymlos (Abaloparatide) is due to become available on the NHS in England within 3 months for those at high risk of fractures.

I have heard that Tymlos does not have that side affect and it can repair bone loss in my jaw. Has anyone had this happen to them?

This bone health clinic is telling me I should take Tymlos (abaloparatide injection) or Evenity(romosozumab-Aqaba).

can one relay off Prolia with tymlos? Any negative or positive side effects?

Because of being at such a high risk for more Fractures she put me on tymlos. From what I've read and from others it has good results but my prolia runs out in 3 months and she said I won't be taking it until after tymlos.

Both the rheumatologist and endocrinologist are pushing Tymlos or Prolia. I have not started any meds yet, trying to maintain (or maybe increase) bone density through exercise, diet, and some supplements. I do a lot of walking, some weight training and stay pretty active.

He told me this was very rare and that I should continue with Prolia and add Tymlos. Has anyone had any experience like this?

Anyone have experience appealing insurance decision on Tymlos coverage? Thanks!

Any tips on reducing the cost of Forteo, Tymlos, Evenity, or Prolia in the USA? Someone on another site posted that she orders her Tymlos injections through CVS and they are free. She hasn’t replied as to how she was able to accomplish that. Thanks for your help.

Are there less side effects using Tymlos? What is the difference? Thank you in advance.

In the past I used Tymlos for 8 months and had to quit because of extreme fatigue. I did reduce down to 4 clicks and experienced a minor change in fatigue. I quit and then had a Reclast infusion a year ago.

Anyway she started me right away on Tymlos, a daily injection in December and other than the break two weeks later in January I haven’t had anymore. Wish I new what happened to my bones as it doesn’t run in my family anywhere but neither does PBC or any other autoimmune for that matter.

My endocrinologist at the Mayo Clinic wanted me to take Tymlos, but after reading so many reviews from people reporting side effects such as virtigo, rapid heart rate, nausea and many other side effects, I decided to go with Reclast again and see if I have more improvement.

Anyone on Tymlos? I am hoping for good stories. I am supposed to be starting it. On the plus side - I went to a top top top Endocrinologist yesterday. And he said about how bad my Numbers are but he said, “The dexa only gives 40% of the story.

UPDATE: I decided to get my second infusion of Reclast instead of opting for Tymlos. I was very nervous because I had pretty bad flu like symptoms for 3 days afterwards the first time.

One endo recommended prolia, the other one wants me on either forteo or tymlos or evenity. I have not researched any of these meds, but evenity has a box warning that it can increase risk of death from cardiovascular problems.

It is a relatively new drug so I am not as comfortable with it as compared to Forteo or Tymlos. For those who have tried Forteo or Tymlos, did they help with the bone density in your hips as well as the spine? Thank you!

Has anyone out there been using Tymlos? My Endocrinologist, Dr. Westphal, at the Mayo Clinic has recommended it for me since my spine score is really bad. From my research, you can only take it two years, but spinal bone density can improve up to 88%.
