has anyone found a device to help with knee pain, eg heat/massage device? My osteoarthritis in my knees has got progressively worse over the last few months and I struggle to stand up from a sitting position.

Hi, I have a heated wrap. It definitely helps, no harm in trying one. It's plug in with several heat settings....lovely.

That sounds great. What brand is it?

Hi again, its a Chinese brand from amazon. Lots of different one to choose from different sellers. Just put in the search bar heated pad or wrap . Hopefully that will bring some up for you. I've had mine a while. Sorry I can't be more specific with the brand. It really does help soothe the pain to a more manageable level.

I have similar, doesn't do more than my moist heating pad. I guess my knees are worse, as collagen is gone, I get bone on bone rub. I will try the hyaluronic acid gel, if that doesn't work for me, I will have to have the surgery. Good luck to you with your knees.

I have stage 4 bone on bone osteoarthritis of my knees. It’s partly due to subluxed kneecaps, so the femur constantly rubs the back of the kneecap which is excruciating. I do find my heat pad eases the pain. I also started taking glucosamine after a recent A&E visit with severe knee pain. The orthopaedic Dr suggested trying it. It may be coincidence but the severe pain behind the knee cap has lessened considerably. It takes around 3 weeks to notice a difference apparently. I also do strengthening exercises, like straight leg raises, and pushing the knee into the floor, as strong muscles take the pressure off the knee joint. I have an exercise bike, currently can only do 20 mins on a low setting, but it’s better than nothing
