well and you know Jim got transferred to Hull on last Friday but not castle hill The Royal instead. He is having dialysis 4 times a week and blood transfusions too. He's in pain, constantly screaming pain! I saw him today, he had just come back from a CT scan and hopefully we will get the results tomorrow. I went with his son Paul today. Jim was in screaming pain the majority of our visit to see him. We were told to leave as it was tea time there.b it just before that I had gone and got a nurse because he was screaming and I asked for a doctor to come help him so we didn't want to leave until a doctor saw Jim. But we had to leave, Jim rang me latet to say he had another episode of pain and a Dr came to flush out the blood clots then. Since then and on the call he started screaming down the phone the pain is coming back again don't know how much more Jim can take am so worried about him. I am so shattered going to the hospital after work today and yesterday on Sunday travelling to the hospital again. I now have a headache and just exhausted and I have the rest of the week to get through. I can't go see him until Friday andthat is if I have enough energy left.

Thanks once again for listening take care

So sorry to hear this. I hope they can do something to alleviate this awful pain for him ASAP and also so you don’t see him like this in the level of pain he has. Yes you must be exhausted indeed. Gentle hugs from me too. 💗

I'm so sorry. The situation sounds unbearable. Your poor partner, I hope they can find a way to make him more comfortable. That level of suffering is shocking. I'm sorry you're having to watch it happening and there's nothing you can do to alleviate it. I'm sure it must help with you just being there. I'm not surprised you are shattered - it must be exhausting. As others have said, please try and rest. Sending my heartfelt wishes xx

Oh goodness, what a nightmare, that is just heartbreaking and beyond awful. Surely they have to get his pain under control soon, he can’t keep going like that and I can’t even begin to imagine how you are keeping going. I hope you can get a decent sleep tonight x

What can I say. It's so much worse to see loved ones in pain, and being unable to stop it. All you can do is be there when you can , and in between take good care of yourself.

Thinking of both of you, do take care . I just hope his pain can be sorted out soon.

I'm so sorry Carol. It's not only awful for Jim to be in such searing pain but for you to watch all but helpless must feel interminable. I'll keep you both in my thoughts & will you to be well enough to visit him again on Friday. You'll find the wherewithal from somewhere I’m sure, but please take care of yourself as well. Four days is a long time in hospital, not seeing loved ones, poor man. x

this is heartbreaking. No one should be in this much pain. It’s so awful for you to watch the person you love going through hell and can do little to help. What a dreadful situation for you and your poor husband. I’m so sorry.

This is awful for you both. As someone has already said there surely should be some more effective pain relief for Jim. You must be worried sick. Take care of yourself Carol and God give you strength to see this through.

I'm very sorry to read all this Carol. It must be very distressing for you, and no doubt you feel helpless, in that there is nothing that you can do to ease Jimmy's pain. Do try to take care of yourself, as hard as that may be. Big, warm, gentle, hugs, xx

Oh dear, sounds horrendous. Take care as best you can 💐

So sorry and sad to read this. Can you speak to the ward sister/ manager and get an appointment to speak to his consultant. Even if it’s just a telephone call. Hope things improve very quickly

It's the blood clots that is painful when they come out!

I understand that is the cause of his pain but, if he could have stronger pain relief maybe it wouldn’t be as bad. I totally understand how horrible this is for you both and I know you are doing everything you can to try to make things easier. Sending understanding hugs.
