Hi I'm back, she was very thorough, and listened, she x-ray hands and feet, and did urine sample, got to go back for a ultrasound, and come off my prednisolone, then she said its looking like ra, but doesn't want to start me on treatment yet as she's wants to rule out some other stuff, so got to have more blood test, so it's a start, got the ball rolling, does anybody no what..bone fragile, serum free light chain means??

Free light chains is a urine test for something called multiple myeloma, common symptoms of this are back ache. Alot of the time its done just as routine to exclude it, its a very common test x

I'm pleased that you had a positive experience at your first appointment. Sounds like she is being thorough with her investigations, which is fab! Do you have a date for your 2nd appointment to discuss the outcomes of the tests?

She said she will ring me with xray results, gave me the helpline number, then said I will have to wait for the ultrasound, and got blood tests on fri, but she didn't mention another appointment, do they normally do that?

When she calls with the xray results, ask her then for another appointment.
