It has been a lovely couple of days. Before i go any further i will tell you i have really overdone it. Yesterday i put the washing on and hung it all on the line. I then started to tidy up and polish. I did all the ironing from the weekend and the washing that was on the line. I went down the allotment and pulled runner beans and rasberries. Then i did more clearing up and my hubby bless him hoovered up for me.
Then today I went to the drs and i was given antibiotics for sinusitis and some cream for my hands as they are very very sore and the middle digit on my hand issore to touch as well. So no mtx for me this week. I wonder when things will pick up for me. Anyway when i got home i cleaned the lounge window and put the net curtains back up. Then if that wasn't enough i cleaned the windows and put up new nets that i picked up yesterday in the charity shop. They look very nice and i got a bargain with them.
Since i did that i got my secateurs out and did some chopping back of the rosemary bush and the nut tree by the front door. So i think i have earned my smarties today!!!! I will have a shower and rest up for the rest of the day and hope i don't suffer too much.
I hope my hands soon start getting better. If they don't get better i am down the hospital on the 18th of this month and i will be able to show my nurse.
I hope you are all feeling wellish in this lovely weather........

You sound a lot like me! I tend to go a bit over the top when I feel well and then suffer for it afterwards, but I enjoy what I do as I am sure you do too and it's better than just waiting for the pain when you haven't had any fun beforehand! Hope you're hands improve soon and then you can do some more!!
If i have to suffer for it at least i can see where i have been. xxxx
Hi Sylvi,
I feel a bit like you, have been really busy over the last couple of days, am resting tonight with my feet up. Going to my daughters tomorrow to help with packing for her moving back home.
Hope you feel better after your rest.
Mary x
Well done Sylvi on achieving so much. You've just got to grab the opportunities when you can
Paula,Mary, morning ladies, Well i am up and my hands are very sore again. It doesn't matter what i do with them, gloves, splints wrist supports they still hurt. I am typing trying not to use my middle finger. My night has been mixed with weird dreams so my night has been disturbed. Well i will see what happens during the day, perhaps i will rest today and do nothing. Yee i can see that happening can't you,but i will try.
Hope you all have a painfree day....xxxx
Painful hands Sylvi, the story of my life Mine have good days and bad days but the discomfor is always there. I woke up a lot with stiff fingers last night. Yesterday we went up Snowdon and I got frightened because I'm scared of heights and the adrenalin made my hands really sore lol...god help me at Alton Towers tomorrow. Have you tried bathing them in warm epsom salt baths? I read about it and I've got some to try x
Paula, no i haven't tried epsom salts, what do they do? My middle finger is becoming more or less useless at the moment. I find it hard to type with my middle finger. It feels like i have a sliver in it,i am sure you know that feeling.
Snowdon you wouldn't get me up there or on the rides at alton towers. Your a glutton for punishment aren't you. You will have to blog and tell how you got on. xxx
Sometimes it's like having a broken finger which just won't bend. I thought I'd broken a finger before diagnosis and A&E thought so too and strapped it up! The next day it can be better and a different finger is stuck lol. The epsom salts have magnesium in them which is linked to helping with inflammation. I think you can just make a hand bath and exercise the fingers and wrists while in the warm water. Not everyone can tolerate epsom salts though but I've just found this short link which may help :livestrong.com/article/2863... I heard about it inthe arthritis book by Margaret Hills. Saying that she also said to take mollases which makes me gag!
Paula just got back from the village haveing went to get epsom salts which i now have. I am drinking tea at the moment and then i will do a bit of gardening and then i will give it a go. Will let you know how i get on later. xxx
Tell me about it. I have used it and then i went back into the garden to do a bit more. I have promised bob that i will sit until he and grace get back from b&q. Don't know how long that will last!!!"!
'Hands that do dishes' sing along to the well known ad! What is it with us all today, trying to eat breakfast and my wrist decided to have a screw driven through it, had to drop the spoon pretty sharpish. Somebody must be having fun at our expense today, either that or we have all been naughty girls and are being punished. xx
Georje, love your reply,i quite agree with you there. I also find that things go through my fingers as well and i get very frustrated with it. We can't win can we. xxx
