Lovely day🤗🤗

The best day of the year. Went on a Christmas walk for greyhounds... my husband and our grey Darcy went on our very first group walk. Wasn’t sure I would make this walk after a bad week with stiffness, pain and fatigue had to have 3 days off work but woke this morning feeling relatively normal... Around 50 greyhounds took part and we set off on a 2 mile walk.... I say walk hadn’t realised how competitive Darcy is .... she was off from the start had to be in lead and over took all 50and lead all the way ( she’s an ex racer) I haven’t felt this good for 12 months we both collapsed at the end and no doubt I will suffer tomorrow.... OMG IT WILL BE WORTH IT😁😁 both Darcy and i are totally zonked out on the coach .... 😴😴

Brilliant! Love the sound of Darcy. Greyhounds are such cool dogs - bet she loved being with her tribe. Wonder if she was a great winner in her racing days?

There are a lot of greyhounds where we live, they are so elegant, I’d love one but unfortunately my husband is very allergic to dogs. I walk the spaniel next door, she doesn’t ever pull but I’ve never known a dog that walked so briskly.

The chunky little lap dog on the other side doesn’t enjoy walking, well she doesn’t like leaving the house without her owners, so when I look after her I eventually end up picking her up, stagger along carrying her until I get as far as I want to go then put her down and she will walk back quite happily. They should have got a greyhound😉

She was a winner many times over retired early due to injury but still thinks she’s racing.... every time she sees a transit van door open she get very excited and tries to get in a nightmare with the amazon deliveries 😂😂😂😂 she a greyhound in disguise I was told they are lazy and won’t go out in the rain and rarely bark ...... oh no not mine barks incessantly until she is fed or if she wants a walk usually at 7 am in the morning and 6 in the evening she won’t come home until she’s ready usually for an hour or more no matter the weather 🙄🙄but we love her she gives lovely kisses
