Just remember to not under play your disability. As a copping mechanism I tend to to ignore the bad days and concentrate on the good, but of course that won't get you far when applying for pip.

It's kind of a no win situation, if you need the help it means you struggling. But if your not struggling enough you won't get the help you need

Yes that’s so true. Although I was struggling before and still got no points! I didn’t appeal perhaps that’s where I went wrong but it’s so humiliating. Also difficult when you’re having to work to find the time and energy. I think like you say we all end up very stoic and find ways to cope. Thanks for replying.

it is humiliating, frustrating, and heartbreaking. it was designed to make your life even harder than it already is. don't give them the satisfaction of it getting to you.

saying that not everyone involved wants to see you suffer, there are still some good people in the system who care. there are also many on here, so stick with it.

if I can fill in the forms you can too. I'm dyslexic with a deep-rooted fear of forms, I can't even hold a pen because of pain in my hands. i got there in the end, one step at a time so can you.

Aw well done. Did you fill it in yourself or get someone to help you? There are lots of lovely kind people on here, thank you.

my partner/carer did the writing, the whole experience was stressful.i was determined not to give them the satisfaction of giving up.

it was such a relief when I was finally given what I already had.

but it did remind me of how bad my disability has got.

Not what you're looking for?
