anyone moved from Yuflyma to Cimzia please

Hi.I have been on Cimzia ( the only biologic I've tried) since 2014 and it has worked very well for me .
Of course we are all different, but I hope it will work well for you, too .
Wishing you all the best .
I haven’t been on Yuflyma but I have been on Cimzia for almost 12 months and it works for me. I inject every 10 days. My first biologic was Enbrel (etaneracept) which worked well for about 10 years. After it failed I tried Adalimumab, which didn’t work for me.
How do you travel with your injections please we are looking at a car touring holiday and I don’t know how I will keep an injection chilled for 7 days ?
Ask your local pharmacist for a few medical gel ice packs (mine gives them to me for free, because they receive a lot of them in shipments of refrigerated medication). Get a proper cool bag and a travel letter from your doctor or pharmacist. Of course, you'll have to give a thought to where you are staying, as you'll need refrigeration at some point, but the cool bags keep the stuff well for up to 48 hours in my experience.
Interesting as Adalimumab is the same as yuflyma , so this did not work for you but Cimiza did. So I have some hope
My daughter has been on Cimzia for 6 years now and it has worked well for her especially as she was able to get pregnant and breastfeed successfully her now 4 year old son on it!
Hi Beachwalk. On the same journey as you and waiting for delivery after a bad experience on yuflama. Reassuring to hear people's experiences are positive and interested in holiday travel with the drug as thinking of a month touring in Europe when feel better but 10 days out the fridge max is a problem.
I live in both Canada and an EU country. My Cimzia is supplied in Canada, so I often fly into the EU with sufficient Cimzia for up to 4 months. All you need is a medical gel ice pack - just ask at your local pharmacy. Mine gives them to me for free; they receive them often in coolers of medication. Then get hold of a small cool-bag, and a travel letter from your doctor or pharmacist stating that you need this refrigerated drug. Airport security will take a look, but they are used to people flying with medication. Of course, you'll need to keep the medicine refrigerated, but most European hotels have small fridges in their rooms, and you should fairly easily be able to keep the stuff at an appropriate temperature.
Hi, I had 8 wonderful years with Cimzia and had liver toxicity so had to change. It took 3 yrs and four biologicals to calm my system down. Currently on Tocilizumab and great again.
CIMZIA is my wonder drug. On it since 2012. It enabled me to get control of my life again. I hope it'll work as well for you as it does for do many.
After trying 3 biologics and all the Dmards I have taken Cymzia for over 2 years now very successfully. I still remember the cry of delight from the Rheumatology nurse when it started working.I hope it works for you too.
I've been on Cimzia for 3 years after disastrous experiences with hydroxychloroquin and methotrexate. The Cimzia got me fully off of steroids within 10 months and has kept my disease to a minimum, though I'm not fully in remission. Recently, I've developed eczema, which the Cimzia may be aggravating and my rheumatologist and I are contemplating a change for this reason. However, overall, I've had a good experience with Cimzia and hope you will too!
I've been on Cimzia for 12 years and it has worked well for me. The only side effect is a blanching around the injection site which is noticeable for a few days.
In my case I found it works best if I inject it in my abdomen. My thighs don't have a lot of fat and the injection ends up in muscle rather than under the skin.
Cimzia can now be stored for up to 10 days out of the fridge if kept below 25 degrees. It shouldn't be returned to a fridge after it is at a higher temperature. I have a Frio pouch (as used for insulin) to keep my syringe cool when travelling.
If you time things right you can travel for about 3 weeks this way.
I’ve been on Cimzia for a few years after trying many others that either didn’t really help or had side effects I couldn’t tolerate. Cimzia has worked the best for me out of all I’ve tried in helping reduce RA symptoms. Since I still experience some joint pain, I do wonder if there are better alternatives, and/or if at some point I’ll have better results with Cimzia.
I was on cimzia which I originally loved. No pain, great energy. But then I developed sores on my legs, psoriasis on my hands and feet and lost half my hair in clumps. They have changed my meds to yuflyma, but now my arms have come up with lots of lumps all under the skin and very swollen feet and legs. I'm wondering what reactions you had to the yuflyma that they have moved you away from it. I'm not really getting any answers from my clinic as to what to do next.
